I am a new mom.  I have a husband, Jamie, whom I love and adore.  This site was created to chronicle the adventures of my baby boy Benjamin Lavinthal Corn.  It is slowing turning into a great outlet for me.  We have been married since December 2008.  This whole mother/wife life is so fresh and new to me.  I love it, but it has been a big transition.  Just a little over a year ago I was finishing up grad school and beginning a career as a teacher.  Now we are on to Plan B.  I’m sure there will be a Plan C and D down the road, but one thing at a time…

Plan B is turning out like this thus far:  Loving life with a new baby (he is 4 months right now, in Oct 2009) and slowly trying to get back into some of the things I once enjoyed pre-baby.  Actually, that’s not really true.  It is more about realizing that the thins I once enjoyed before Benji are great, but almost everything can and needs to include this new little guy.  My major struggle right now- “running” in somewhere to get a good cup of coffee.  This doesn’t happen anymore.  So life now is about discovery.  Finding new people, new places, new ways of being that are supportive and fun for the family life.  And also discovering what things from our old lives can still work.  Going to see friends bands play, not happening so much now.  Meeting with people for walks around local parks- the new highlight of my days.  It’s all about change, man…
